       On November 12, the National Energy Administration released the data of power consumption of the whole society in October.

       In October, China's economy continued to recover steadily, and the power consumption of the whole society continued to grow, reaching 660.3 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%, 14.0% over the same period in 2019, and an average increase of 6.8% over the two years. The electricity consumption of the primary industry was 8.3 billion kwh, an increase of 14.7% over the previous year; The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 451.1 billion kwh, an increase of 3.2% over the previous year; The power consumption of the tertiary industry was 112.3 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 14.3%; The electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 886 kwh, an increase of 11.1% over the previous year.

       From January to October, the total electricity consumption of the whole society was 6825.4 billion kwh, an increase of 12.2% over the same period of the previous year, an increase of 15.2% over the same period of the previous year, and an average increase of 7.3% in the two years. In terms of industry, the power consumption of the primary industry was 84.1 billion kwh, an increase of 18.4% over the previous year; The electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 4549 billion kwh, an increase of 11.3% over the previous year; The electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 997.4 billion kwh, an increase of 7.4% over the previous year.
